Villa settlement “The Monastery II – Sofia“ is situated in the area of ”Raspberry Valley - The Bunker” in the suburbs of the city of Sofia. It is a logical continuation of the settlement “The Monastery I”. The Vitosha mountains determines the character of this place of Paradise. The terrain has a steep slope to the north-north–east. It is about 732 m. above the sea level. The plot is long and narrow which determines the linear situation of the four buildings. The height of the buildings varies from 3 (building 4) to 4 (buildings 1, 2 ,3 ) floors. A main goal in the organization of the buildings is each apartment to have an open view to the mountains as well as to the city of Sofia. The structure intended for living consists of four buildings. There are apartments structured as two or three-rooms apartments. They are of 59 to 95 sq.m. The apartments have got fireplaces. An alternative way has been planned to the north. An open parking place for 84 vehicles will be built in the north-eastern part of the settlement. Six extra places will be provided at the entrance of the settlement. The alley network is determined by the linear situation and it is in accordance with the relief of the plot. Planting of inner spaces in combination with colorful compositions have been planned. Developing the living buildings and spaces the designer has tried to reproduce the atmosphere of the old Bulgarian architecture. The characteristic of the period large terraces above the first floor, large eaves, shored up with wooden beams, bay windows towards the street and the yard, high stone walls and steeples, wooden gates and parapets have been observed while building the settlement. The living buildings of many storeys are “broken up” by different materials, roofs at different levels, breaking of the configuration, alternating battered and projected spaces and other architectural devices which give to the architectural composition multi-planning characteristic of the old Bulgarian architecture. The facades will be furnished using white mineral based plaster shouldered with brown wooden elements. The socles of the first and sometimes the second floor will be finished with high quality stone coating. The roofs will be covered with corrugated iron which looks like the old one-guttered tile. The woodwork will be reinforced. The parapets of the terraces will be wooden and 1.05 m above the level of the floor under the detailed drawing of the designer. All wooden units will be worked out using modern incombustible ground coats and finishing coating. All homes are offered at “turn key”. For Dinevi & Co the client is in first place. According to your personal ideas of home, you can select by yourselves quality materials for finishing the house, such as terra-cotta, wall colors and sanitary facilities equipment. On your request we can perform an air conditioninig units mounting and complete furnishing. Each apartment has been supplied with cable TV.
